Complaint
Description: On May 21, 2023, Defendant officers approached Mr. Uptegrow in the vicinity of East 146th Street and Third Avenue in the Bronx. With no arrest warrant, probable cause, or any reason, Defendant officers stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered and detained Mr. Uptegrow. The plaintiff was subjected to a strip search while in the custody of the Defendant officers. Mr. Uptegrow was then arraigned after his arrest, falsely and maliciously prosecuted, and remained incarcerated for over twenty-four hours.
