Complaint
Description: On April 19, 2012, Plaintiff reported a trashcan fire in the vicinity of 177th st and Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan to an off-duty Ambulance. After multiple police vehicle arrived, Defendant Officers searched Plaintiff without his consent. Defendant Lieutenant Barry asked Plaintiff if he wanted to go to the hospital, in which Plaintiff declined. Defendant Officers then tightly place handcuffs on Plaintiff and placed him in a second ambulance and transported him to Harlem Hospital where doctors found no cause to keep Plaintiff. Plaintiff was released from the hospital after several hours and no charges were filed.
