Description: On September 20, 2012, at approx. 12:15am, Plaintiffs Terrence Simms and Ryan Pelt, both African American men, were assaulted and battered and falsely arrested without justification by Defendant NYPD Officers including Michael Castiglia, Charles Corlino, Frank Green and Thomas Nigro. Plaintiffs were approached by Defendant Officers Green and Nigro, one of whom repeatedly punched Plaintiff Pelt in the head and face, threw him to the ground, repeatedly kicked him in the leg, repeatedly struck him with an ASP metal retractable baton on his arm and back, and handcuffed him.
