Description: On June 19, 2013, Plaintiff swiped his metro card and entered a subway station. Plaintiff was confronted from behind by a police officer who demanded identification. When the officer stated that Plaintiff had entered the station without paying, Plaintiff offered to show his card. Without asking for consent, the officer began to search Plaintiff. Finding a legal razor, the officer arrested Plaintiff. After 24 hours in custody Plaintiff was released, but had to appear multiple times in court before all charges were dropped on June 12, 2014.
