Description: On May 13, 2012, NYPD Officer Luis Martinez drove an NYPD vehicle onto the sidewalk and struck Plaintiff causing serious injuries. NYPD Officers Martinez, Richard Ortiz, and Joseph Centner then exited the vehicle, handcuffed Plaintiff, and assaulted him by striking him with their fists in his head and back. After receiving medical attention for his injuries, Plaintiff was unlawfully imprisoned until his arraignment on fabricated charges based on false statements filed by Officer Martinez. On October 15, 2012, all charges filed against Plaintiff were dismissed.
