Complaint
Description: On June 27, 2017, Plaintiff was at their residence at 200 East 30th Street, New York, NY. Plaintiff was lawfully present in their apartment, engaging in no illegal activity. Police Sergeant Neils Veras and Police Officer Patricia DeJesus, along with unnamed John/Jane Doe officers entered Plaintiff’s residence, allegedly without a warrant, and physically assaulted and battered him during this encounter, resulting in physical and emotional injuries. Plaintiff was detained, handcuffed, and battered Plaintiff. They did not provide any legal justification for their entry or for Plaintiff’s arrest. Plaintiff was subjected to malicious prosecution.
