Description: Plaintiff was planning to meet a friend in Union Square Park when his phone died. He went to a free phone-charging station. Two other men were also using the charging station at that time, and one man offered to sell the plaintiff beer. The plaintiff declined his offer. Police officer then approached the charging station and searched through their bags and their clothing. Officers found marijuana in the plaintiff's bag and arrested him. Plaintiff was ultimately accused of selling marijuana, and was charged with crim sale of marijuana.

Description: Plaintiff's son was arrested by defendant officers for allegedly possessing and selling marijuana to UC 276. Officers went to Plaintiff's apartment and demanded she give them his cell phone. Since Plaintiff refused, defendant officers obtained and executed a search warrant at her apartment and locked her out. Officers refused to give the key back until she agreed to answer questions regarding her son's cell phone. The charges against her son were later dismissed.

Description: On or about July 20, 2014, at approximately 8PM, Anthony Holley was arrested by NYPD officers while Holley was inside a car with his friends at the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Christopher Street. The car stopped at a traffic light at the intersection and waited for the light to turn green. When the light turned green and the car was about the move the NYPD officers in their unmarked vehicle cut in front of Holley's car and blocked the car from moving. The officers then jumped out of their vehicle and approached Holley and his friends with guns drawn and pointed at them. The officers shouted freeze and Holley and friends put their hands in the air.
