Description: On May 11, 2023, the plaintiff was assaulted and battered by NYPD officers while present on a street. The plaintiff was intentionally and maliciously beaten by the officers for an extended period. Despite being seriously injured and defenseless, the plaintiff was falsely arrested, forcefully handcuffed, moved, pushed, shoved, searched, and detained without probable cause or provocation. The officers falsely accused the plaintiff of crimes he did not commit and detained him for an unreasonable period before his release. As a result of this excessive force and unlawful actions, the plaintiff sustained injuries. Their conduct was based on discriminatory racial profiling.
