Description: On October 4, 2012, decedent plaintiff Noel Polanco was driving plaintiff DIane Deferrari in his vehicle when numerous NYPD vehicles forced Polanco's vehicle to a stop. NYPD Officer Hassan Hamdy and other Officers surrounded Polanco's vehicle with weapons drawn. Officer Hamdy approached Polanco's vehicle and opened gunfire without reason or provocation. Polanco was struck by a bullet and died from his injuries. Deferrari was unlawfully arrested and confined.
