Complaint
Description: On May 1, 2016, plaintiff Diakel Clarke was inside of a Brooklyn residence to purchase commemorative candles for his grandfather. Defendant Officers Lonarello and Calhoun, having received a search warrant for the residence based on their false claim that it was a known location where drugs were sold, then entered the residence. Although Mr. Clarke was neither the subject of the warrant nor a known buyer of drugs, defendant Officers Lonarello and Calhoun placed Mr. Clarke in handcuffs and accused him of a number of offenses.
