Complaint
Description: On June 2, 2023 Plaintiff Charzette Bordley was lawfully present at August Martin High School. Bordley was allegedly approached by Defendants (School Safety Officers Coburn, Devnport, Muhammad, and NYPD Officer Fernandez and other unidentified NYPD Officers). Defendants allegedly grabbed Bordley and tackled her to the ground. Subsequently she was arrested, allegedly without probable cause, and taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment before being held at the 113th Precinct. Bordley was released on her own recognizance.

Description: On May 21, 2020 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Plaintiff was sitting in his parked car when a group of people began to violently attack him and the vehicle. A brick was thrown through the driver-side window, hitting Plaintiff in the face and causing severe bruising and swelling to his face while other individuals jumped on the hood, broke the windows, and began to assault Plaintiff. Plaintiff put his key in the ignition and drove the car away from the scene, accidentally hitting another vehicle before losing consciousness.
