Description: On August 29, 2024, both Plaintiffs were at a gathering with friends at a home in the Bronx, when Defendant Officers James Causa and John Doe 1-10 entered the yard without a warrant or any other legal authority and started searching everyone present in the yard, including the Plaintiffs, without any probable cause or reasonable suspicion. When a small bag of Marijuana was found on one of the persons present, the Defendant Officers falsely arrested numerous people, including the Plaintiffs, knowing that these people did not have any actual or constructive possession of the bag of Marijuana. Plaintiffs were held for 24h before being released without any criminal charges.
