Description: On November 13, 2013, NYPD officers—including Officer Carson, Lieutenant Hammon, Sergeant Thomas, and Captain Guinares—forcibly entered Plaintiffs’ basement apartment, pursuant to a search warrant. The search warrant had been procured on November 7, 2013 by Officer Carson based on factual statements that Plaintiffs’ allege were false. According to Carson, a confidential informant purchased illegal drugs from the relevant apartment, as well as another apartment in the same building. Plaintiffs insist they were never in possession of such drugs and no purchases were ever attempted, never mind completed.
