At the precinct, officers denied plaintiff's request to speak to her mother, interrogated plaintiff for 24 hours, denied her food, screamed, pressured her, called her derogatory names, and coerced her into confessing to a crime she did not commit. Detectives investigated indifferently and carelessly, overlooking several signs that plaintiff did not commit the crime.
