Complaint
Description: On or about August 7, 2019, NYPD detectives Frank T. Lorello, Michael Spera, and NYPD officers Does falsely arrested Brandon Thomas who was lawfully at residence near Ave. L and 92nd st. of Brooklyn. The detectives unlawfully entered the residence, unlawfully arrested Thomas and unlawfully searched the residence despite having no reasonable suspicion to do so. On or about August 8, 2019, the above detectives assaulted Thomas at the precinct with excessive force causing physical injury. As a result, Thomas suffered multiple injuries, among which are fractured ribs, and had to be transported to a hospital. Despite such misconduct, detectives did not intervene to stop each other.
