Description: On or about October 5, 2023, Plaintiff was lawfully walking on the sidewalk in Manhattan when he was unlawfully stopped, detained, and restrained by Defendant NYPD officers, including Officer Jacob Aaronson, Officer Shaun Marks, and others. The officers had no reasonable suspicion or probable cause to stop or arrest Plaintiff. Defendant also did not have a warrant to arrest. They handcuffed Plaintiff excessively tight upon his wrists, causing severe pain, and leg shackled him. Description: On or about May 18, 2014, employees of the NYPD (Defendants Det. William Dunn and Shimicka Meadows, P.O. John Kelly, Jacob Aaronson, Anthony Baresi, Sarae Ramos-Tillman, and "John Doe"s #1-10) ran at Plaintiff, shot him multiple times, placed him in handcuffs, and arrested him on charges related to possessing a firearm, which he did not. Plaintiff suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for several days. Defendants filled out false and misleading police reports stating that Plaintiff had pointed a firearm at a police officer. Plaintiff spent approximately 14 months in custody. In addition to physical injuries, Plaintiff sustained mental anguish, shock, and humiliation.
