Description: On July 13, 2012, NYPD officers, believed to include PO Andrew Fago, unlawfully stopped, detained, and arrested Plaintiff on the basis of an undercover agent’s false allegations that Plaintiff sold cocaine to him on May 30, 2012. The officers, including PO Fago and the undercover officer, caused Plaintiff to be imprisoned until July 15, 2012, based on the false allegations. On July 15, 2012, Plaintiff was arraigned, more than 24 hours after her arrest. The officers initiated prosecution of Plaintiff with malice and to justify their improper and baseless arrest of her. Plaintiff was compelled to return to court on three occasions, until February 5, 2013, when all of the charges were dismissed and sealed.
