Description: On or about October 7, 2019, Plaintiffs, both African-American males, were unlawfully stopped, questioned, searched, and arrested by NYPD officers Jhoan Lozano and Giuseppe Dimaggio near Sutphin Boulevard and 118th Avenue in Queens, New York. Plaintiffs were falsely accused of crimes, including criminal possession of a weapon and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Plaintiffs were detained for over 53 hours, during which they were subjected to excessive force, tight handcuffs, and racial profiling. The charges against Plaintiffs were ultimately dismissed on February 13, 2020.
