Description: On August 10, 2022, at approximately 11:50 a.m., in the vicinity of the building located at 4091 Broadway, New York, New York, Plaintiff Germaine Veras was illegally targeted, because of his race, religion, national origin or other improper characteristic for adverse police action, by Defendants, Police Officer Joel Medina and several unnamed NYPD officers. Plaintiff had just been assaulted by a man with a handgun who struck Plaintiff in the head causing a readily apparent bleeding laceration to Plaintiff’s head when Defendants, approached, grabbed, searched, seized and arrested Plaintiff.
