Complaint
Description: On July 21, 2023, Plaintiff was lawfully at 420 W. 19th St, NY, NY,when he called 311 and 911 to perform a wellness check on his mother and nephew. Several officers were on duty and at the 19th Street location. Defendants stopped, confined, restrained, arrested, and imprisoned Plaintiff in an aggressive and excessive manner. Plaintiff was held at Police Service Area 4 for seven hours. Plaintiff was held at the 77th Precinct for four hours. Plaintiff was held at Central Booking for twenty-four hours. On July 23, 2023, Plaintiff was released from Central Booking with no charges.
