Complaint
Description: On July 5, 2023 Plaintiff was lawfully present in the vestibule of his building when POs Joseph O'Shea, Kenneth Brown, Andrew Anderson, Sean Jordan, Vladimir A. Garcia, and John and Jane Does 1-10 seized him, held him to the ground, brutally beat him, and arrested him without legal justification. Plaintiff was wrongfully detained at the 33rd Precinct for several hours before being transported to Central Booking, where he was kept for approximately 16 hours before prosecution was declined. Plaintiff suffered injuries to his head, back, and face as a result, and required extensive medical treatment for these injuries as a result of this incident.

Description: On or about October 26, 2018, Lorenzo Stewart was near 1260 Webster Avenue in the Bronx when he was approached by NYPD officers, including Officer Sean Jordon, Officer John Doe, and Officer John Roe. Without probable cause or legal justification, the officers stopped, searched, handcuffed, and arrested Stewart. He was subjected to excessive force, including being aggressively grabbed and detained. While in custody, Stewart was strip-searched. He was falsely accused of a crime and prosecuted, but the charges were eventually dismissed. Stewart alleges that he suffered physical injuries, emotional distress, and reputational damage as a result of the officers' actions.
