Description: On February 8, 2013, when the Plaintiff was purchasing a MetroCard from a subway kiosk, police officer Michael McCarthy aggressively approached the plaintiff. The plaintiff tried to leave the station to avoid trouble, but Officer Michael McCarthy pursued and apprehended the plaintiff and called backup, including but not limited to officers Paul Bliss, Stephen Allocca, Alexander Gavilan, Kevin Short, Endora Shropshire, and John Toscano. A group of police officers brutally beat and tased the plaintiff once he was already restrained and compliant. As a result, the plaintiff suffered a broken nose, taser burns, and multiple lacerations requiring stitches.
