Description: On October 27, 2020, Plaintiffs Olivia Wanebo and John Acosta attended a protest against police brutality in Kings County. Plaintiff Acosta was filming the officers stationed at the protest and witnessed an unnamed officer use their bicycle as a weapon against another protestor. Upon using his phone to record the incident, Defendant Captain Ramos shoved Mr. Acosta and stated that he was placing Mr. Acosta under arrest. Plaintiff was strip-searched at the precinct, then directed to the hospital where officers made sure his injuries weren't documented.
