Description: On April 10, 2021, Plaintiff was milling about the entrance of a private social club in Kings County, New York. NYPD Officers—including Officer Hicks—appeared and ordered Plaintiff and others present to the ground. Plaintiff complied and was handcuffed. The officers were responded to an alleged robbery inside the club, which arrest reports now show was in error. Plaintiff was held at the precinct for approximately 20 hours without food or water. Plaintiff was charged with multiple counts based on information that he alleges was falsified. The District Attorney declined to prosecute the case against Plaintiff. Plaintiff was released on April 12 without ever facing arraignment.
