Description: On May 12, 2016, plaintiff was approached at the rear of the NYPD 41st Precinct by defendant officers Cotter and Stevenson. The defendants approached plaintiff with their guns drawn, arrested her, handcuffed her excessively tightly, illegally searched and assaulted her, and then took her into custody. She was held in custody for 32 hours. While in custody, plaintiff was strip searched and given a cavity inspection. She was then released, but only after the defendant officers filed false criminal charges against her to cover up their unlawful arrest and search. These charges were dismissed on or about August 24, 2016.
