Description: On July 7, 2023, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 199 Dyckman Street in Inwood when he was approached by Defendant NYPD Officers Adrian Mendez, Jordan Masiello, and other John Doe officers. The defendants, acting without probable cause, grabbed plaintiff and began to punch him in the face and body and strike him with their knees. They then handcuffed plaintiff so tightly it caused pain, and put him in a police vehicle, where they continued to pull on his arms repeatedly. Plaintiff was taken to the 34th Precinct, where he was kept in a holding cell. Defendants ignored repeated requests for medical help, before EMS finally helped plaintiff and took him to the hospital.
