Description: On October 28, 2011, Plaintiff was suddenly and without provocation grabbed and maced by a group of NYPD officers that had crowded around the front of a restaurant in which he was dining. Plaintiff was thrown to the ground and repeatedly struck before being handcuffed and arrested. At the 6th precinct, Plaintiff requested medical attention for his injuries but was denied. Approximately 24 hours after his initial arrest, Plaintiff was taken to central booking and was released. All charges were ultimately dismissed.
