Description: On May 4, 2011, plaintiff Karey Matthews had been employed at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center as a pediatric dentist, but was terminated on false accusations by his supervisor that he had been stealing hospital property. On June 1, 2011, a hospital security guard filed a complaint with defendant Detective Patrick Flatley, accusing plaintiff of taking patient records without authorization. On June 28, 2011, plaintiff and his attorney voluntarily appeared at the police precinct where he was arrested and arraigned on charges of burglary and the district attorney's office initiated and continued criminal proceedings.
