Complaint
Description: On February 15, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully within the vicinity of 117-09 140th St, Queens, NY. Defendants unlawfully entered and searched the location and plaintiff. Defendants placed plaintiff into handcuffs and under arrest. Plaintiff was transported to the police precinct. At the precinct defendants falsely informed the Queens DA they observed plaintiff commit various offenses. Plaintiff was transported to Central Booking, and arraigned. Plaintiff was released after spending an extended period of time in custody. Plaintiff appeared in court as required, and her criminal case was subsequently dismissed.

Description: On or about July 10, 2017 near Beach 40th Street at approximately 12;00 p.m. Detectives Alex Perez and Jon Zamot wrongfully arrested Plaintiff and charged him with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. Detectives Perez and Zamot caused a malicious prosecution to be commenced against Plaintiff. On April 3, 2019 a jury dismissed all charges against Plaintiff after a three-and-a-half-week trial. The actions of the detectives caused Plaintiff to be wrongfully incarcerated for approximately 25 days.
