Complaint
Description: Plaintiff called the police when she and her boyfriend got in a fight. Defendant Officers arrived but left without taking police action, only to return minutes later to arrest Plaintiff for scratching her boyfriend. Plaintiff was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Child Endangerment. After a year, these charges were dismissed and sealed. During that year, Plaintiff struggled with her boyfriend for custody over their daughter. When Plaintiff's daughter went missing, Defendant Officer refused to file a missing child report.
