Description: On October 4, 2018, NYPD officers arrested plaintiff, twisting her arms and causing her to suffer injuries. The officers struck plaintiff against an NYPD vehicle and transported her to the 112th Precinct, where she was searched in her bra in front of male officers. While at the precinct, plaintiff was informed that she was being charged with stalking. Prior to the arrest, plaintiff had filed a complaint against NYS Trooper Thaddeus Wroblewski with the New York State Police. While at the precinct, she was told by NYPD Detective John Petzolt and other officers to stop complaining about Wroblewski. Description: Around January 30, 2017 near Metropolitan Avenue and 75th Avenue at around 7 p.m., Mx. Turyants was a passenger in a car accident and the defendant officers arrived at the scene. They later filed a criminal complaint alleging Mx. Turyants was the driver and had submitted forged documents to the officers. The officers then incarcerated Mx. Turyants for over one day without probable cause, which caused Mx. Turyants to lose income and benefits. The case against Mx. Turyants was eventually dismissed.
