Fason, Aloma Crawford For The Estate of Fason, Robert vs City of New York, et al.
Case # 515418/2019, Supreme Court - Kings, July 18, 2019
Complaint
Description: On or about June 30, 2018, at approximately 3:25 a.m., Robert Fason was struck by gunfire in front of 1611 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York. Injured, Fason attempted to flee, leaving a trail of blood, and eventually reached the front of 693 Decatur Street, Brooklyn, where he screamed for help. A neighbor called 911, and NYPD Patrol Officers Robert Anton and Lisa Lovell were dispatched to the scene. However, the officers allegedly failed to exit their patrol vehicle, did not follow the trail of blood or listen for Fason’s screams, and concluded that the 911 call was unwarranted before leaving the scene. Hours later, Fason was found dead from his injuries.
