Description: On April 6, 2018, plaintiff Johnson was lawfully standing outside his vehicle parked on Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn, New York. He was approached by Defendant NYPD officer Shervis, who then directed defendant officer Wilson to arrest the plaintiff without probable cause. The plaintiff was transported to the 69th Precinct and taken to the cell area. In the cell area the defendants were aggressively removing articles of clothing from the plaintiff and thrusting him into chairs. Knowing that the plaintiff had a previous laceration on his leg, the defendants nonetheless threw the plaintiff onto the ground and began punching and kicking him. The officers then arrested plaintiff without probable cause and falsely charged him with driving while intoxicated. Video evidence directly contradicted the officers' allegations. Plaintiff was imprisoned for 25 hours after his arrest.

Description: On July 6, 2012, Plaintiff was lawfully inside a commercial business building when several NYPD Officers including Officers Terrell Anderson, Forrest Hirsch, Jason Filoramo, Frank Muzikar, Peter McCarthy, Joseph Fichter, and Michael Espinosa entered the building and searched its locked basement and found contraband. Plaintiff was not the owner of the business and did not possess a key to the basement, but was nonetheless arrested by Officer Anderson. Officer Hirsch prepared paperwork in support of false charges against Plaintiff and conveyed such information to the District Attorney's Office. Plaintiff was eventually released after approximately 17 hours in custody and was not charged with any crimes.
