Description: On October 14, 2011, during an Occupy Wall Street march in Manhattan, Eric-John Russell was seized from behind by police officers, including Lieutenant Michael Casey and Officer John Baiera, and forcibly moved from the sidewalk to the roadway. He was handcuffed with excessive tightness, held against a vehicle for half an hour, and taken to the NYPD 7th Precinct. Despite requesting, he was not given food or water. After about 10 hours, he was released with a Desk Appearance Ticket for Disorderly Conduct, a charge on which he was acquitted on September 27, 2012, following a bench trial.
