Complaint
Description: On May 29, 2016, near the intersection of 107th Street and 86th Avenue in Queens, NY, Plaintiff Fredo Jeancharles, Jr. was subjected to excessive force by Defendant NYPD Officer DEVIN DARMALINGUM and several unidentified officers while being arrested for his alleged operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence. The officers placed Plaintiff in handcuffs that were excessively tight causing Plaintiff permanent physical injuries. During his arrest, Plaintiff also suffered multiple other physical injuries, including a severe injury to his left arm which required ongoing medical treatment.
