Description: On January 15, 2021, Plaintiff was sleeping alone in their apartment when they were awoken by their ex-girlfriend ringing their front doorbell. The ex-girlfriend, who had an Order of Protection against Plaintiff. appeared to be intoxicated and refused to leave the apartment after Plaintiff opened the door. The ex-girlfriend then called the police with a fabricated story that Plaintiff threatened her with a machete. The police arrived and falsely arrested Plaintiff on grounds that he violated the Order of Protection, despite all evidence showing that the ex-girlfriend had shown up uninvited to their apartment. Plaintiff was then maliciously prosecuted based on false and misleading evidence provided by the police...
