Complaint
Description: On April 28, 2017 Plaintiff Charles was arrested by Defendant Sgt. Hussameldin while walking to school with a friend. Hussameldin asked Charles where she was going and for ID, then proceeded to grab her and stop her from continuing on to school. Hussameldin forced her to the ground and handcuffed her, the force used in doing so left bruises. Charles indicated she felt ill and was going to vomit but was denied medical attention and taken to the precinct before eventually allowed medical care. Charles was charged based on false statements submitted by Hussameldin and has suffered from pain, anxiety, mental anguish, and humiliation as a result.
