Description: On June 7, 2019, defendant police officers illegally and unlawfully arrested Plaintiff at the 48th Precinct without probable cause or other justification. Plaintiff had multiple assaults and batteries by the defendants. Defendants knowingly and intentionally fabricated observation to justify an otherwise invalid arrest and to ensure that Plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted and ultimately convicted.

Description: On April 14, 2016, Plaintiff was falsely arrested for the murder of Roberto Jimenez. On April 8, 2016, Plaintiff's girlfriend argued with Jimenez, Jimenez tried to shoot Plaintiff, Plaintiff wrestled the gun away from Jimenez, and Plaintiff ran inside. Jimenez was subsequently murdered by someone else, as indicated by the ballistic evidence. Plaintiff was identified as the suspect because Jimenez's family and girlfriend were coerced by the police. As a result Plaintiff was incarcerated at Rykers Island for nearly 3 years, was repeatedly assaulted by a corrections officer, maced while restrained, and provided medical treatment only following a delay.
