Complaint
Description: On or about May 11, 2017, Officers Robert Giery, Sergeant Ricardo Montilla, and other officers detained and arrested the plaintiff on charges of weapon possession for an alleged pipe found in his car. However, the plaintiff had no pipe intended or designed as a weapon. The officers willfully and unlawfully arrested, detained, imprisoned, and searched the plaintiff, seizing his property, which was never returned. The defendants proceeded with the arrest based on accusations they knew or should have known were false, and knowingly provided false information to the prosecutor in the ensuing criminal case against the plaintiff.
