Description: On August 16, 2021, defendant POs detained and arrested plaintiff when he was conducting an InstaCart pickup outside of 776 Avenue. At that time, plaintiff had just left the Fairway Supermarket with an InstaCart order. Defendants POs approached plaintiff and told him that there was an issue with his car. Defendant POs ordered Plaintiff out of the car and handcuffed him and transported him to the 13th Police Precinct and later was transported to Central Bookings. After the defendant POs transporting plaintiff left, other defendant POs searched Plaintiff’s vehicle. Plaintiff’s vehicle was then impounded.
