Description: On May 3, 2014, Plaintiff Luis Hilario left his apartment located at 560 West 126th Street Apt. A2A, New York, NY to take out the trash and in so doing noticed a friend standing on the corner of Broadway and 126th Street. However, as Plaintiff was approaching his friend, he was stopped by Defendant NYPD officers VERDEJO (Shield 14642) and his partner, EMERSON CHARLES (Shield 25595) because Plaintiff was holding a styrofoam cup containing wine. Description: On November 23, 2013, Tyree Hunter was wrongfully arrested in front of his home by Officers Emerson Charles and Matthew Crawley, and John Doe officers, without probable cause. Despite not committing any crime, Hunter was charged with Robbery and Attempted Gang Assault, spending six days in custody. Charges were dismissed on July 8, 2014.
