Description: On or about September 5, 2012, plaintiff was arrested in connection with a shooting that had occurred on Clarkson Avenue, near Flatbush Avenue in the borough of Brooklyn. After his arrest, plaintiff was taken to an interrogation room and interrogated by Detective Lorraine Winters, Detective Michael Hinrichs, Detective Michael Gaynor, without counsel, for approximately a full day. Plaintiff repeatedly maintained his innocence.

Description: On January 12, 2013, defendant NYPD officers received a phone call about a foul odor coming from someone's apartment. While the officers were attending to the situation of the dead person in the apartment, the plaintiff went to the area and informed the officers that the deceased person was a friend of his. Subsequently the plaintiff was taken into custody and accused of the murder of the deceased person. The plaintiff was interrogated for 17 hours despite having a very conspicuous disability because of his stroke 20 years ago.
