Complaint
Description: On or about January 29, 2021, plaintiff William Torres was standing outside the door of a friend's apartment when he was stopped, handcuffed and arrested by police officer Rubaine and another unidentified police officer. Plaintiff was thereafter transported to the precinct where detective Nimo claimed that he recognized plaintiff as an individual who participated in the breaking of a car window and stealing property from inside of a car. This allegation was not truthful. After numerous court appearances, all criminal cases were dismissed.
