Description: On May 15, 2014, the Plaintiff was waiting for an elevator in his girlfriend’s apartment building when Defendant Officer Asare and another approached with guns drawn. Plaintiff did not run or attempt to resist. Plaintiff was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm, despite not finding one when searched. Plaintiff was released after three hours with no charges filed.
