Complaint
Description: Plaintiff was walking home when he was suddenly approached, and then chased, by a large group of Williamsburg Safety Patrol members, who attacked and beat him so severely it left him blind in one eye. As they were assaulting Plaintiff, defendants were using homophobic slurs. Defendant Officers failed to forward the case to the detective squad in a timely manner which resulted in them not getting suspect information or collecting sufficient evidence against the assailants. Plaintiff alleges this is due to the officers connections and corruption within the NYPD.
