Description: On September 26, 2022, Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle when a vehicle driven by Defendant, NYPD officer James, came into contact with the Plaintiff's vehicle, causing a collision. As a result of the collision, Plaintiff suffered severe injuries, including chest trauma and damage to both of his legs that almost left him paralyzed. Plaintiff was hospitalized for nearly 3 weeks until he was discharged to the Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where he had to stay for another 7 months. Plaintiff has not been able to walk or work since the incident. The accident was solely the fault of the Defendant, who was driving negligently and recklessly.

Description: On September 26, 2022 Respondent Santiago, Defendant Loughery, Defendant James, and unnamed Police Defendants subjected the Plaintiff unlawful arrest due to a motor vehicle collision between the Plaintiff and Defendants Loughery and James. When the Plaintiff woke up in the Hospital, he realized he was under arrest. The Defendants conspired to falsely accuse the Plaintiff of failing to stop at a red light, despite knowing the truth of the matter.

Description: On February 4, 2022, plaintiff Thomas Brown was approached by police officer Matthew E. James and another unidentified police officer at or about the intersection of West 22nd Street and Mermaid Avenue, in the County of Kings. Plaintiff was assaulted and battered, being grabbed, tackled face down to the ground, with his arm twisted, kicked, struck with knees, a Taser and/or other conductive energy device, before being forcefully placed in handcuffs. After being led to the precinct, the plaintiff was taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was treated for his injuries while in police custody.
