Description: On May 7, 2014, Plaintiff N.L. was on a high school field trip aboard a J subway car when he was violently knocked down by a plain clothes police officer, Defendant Officer Guillermo Lozano. After Plaintiff requested some courtesy for the act, Defendant Lozano held the subway door open and ordered the entire class onto the platform. Defendant Lozano and another officer then pushed Plaintiff against a bin, injuring him, then tightly handcuffed him. Plaintiff was taken to the 90th Precinct, where Defendant Lozano swore false information related to disorderly conduct. Plaintiff was eventually released at arraignment after 23 hours in custody.
