Description: On October 21, 2021, Plaintiff and a friend were on an MTA bus. On the bus, where they overheard a man known as "Black" talking about taking another person's cell phone. Plaintiff, his friend, and another woman on the bus told Black to return the phone, which Black refused to do. Plaintiff grabbed the phone out of Black's hands. The phone rang, and Plaintiff answered--the caller indicated that the phone's owner was at Housing Works. Plaintiff said he would bring the phone there, which he did. He delivered the phone to the owner and explained what happened. In response, the owner was convinced that Plaintiff stole the phone, so she called the police.
