Description: On or April 19, 2018, Bernadette Nieves (Plaintiff) was sleeping inside her friend's apartment when Defendants Mullen, Lagrasta and "does" entered the apartment, handcuffed and arrested Plaintiff. Plaintiff did not reside in this apartment, her name was not on the lease, nor did she ever register the address as her residence. The room Plaintiff was sleeping in did not contain controlled substances nor was Plaintiff in possession of a controlled substance and despite knowing that, Defendants arrested her.

Description: On October 19, 2017, police officers Scott Mullen, Joseph Rivera, and John Does 1-10 falsely arrested Milagros Aponte at her home at 1016A Kelly St. Apt#2 of Bronx. The officers, despite not possessing any justifiable cause, entered her home, searched her home and people there, and arrested Aponte. The officers provided misleading and false information and maliciously prosecuted her, and other officers, despite being able to intervene, did not do so. All charges against her were ultimately dismissed. As a result, Aponte suffered from emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation, and loss of earning.
