Description: On December 23, 2021, Plaintiff was lawfully present on the public sidewalk standing outside of his place of employment, the Harlem Outlet, waiting to assist his manager with closing the store, when he was approached from behind by Defendant NYPD Officers Carney and Zhao. Defendant Carney attempted to search Plaintiff, then threw Plaintiff against boxes on the sidewalk. Defendants Carney and Zhao aggressively and forcibly grabbed Plaintiff, threw him to the sidewalk, and began to viciously beat Plaintiff, without just cause or legal justification.
